October 26, 1994 — September 16, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Z. Burnham, who left this world peacefully at home on September 16, 2026, at the tender age of 31. Born on October 26, 1994, in Baton Rouge, Joseph brought immense joy and warmth to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Joseph, lovingly known as Zach, was a beacon of light and a source of strength for his family and friends. He was the cherished son of Jo Ann Burnham and the beloved brother of Matthew (Alex) Sibley. His pride and joy was his daughter, Braelyn M. Burnham, whom he adored and cherished deeply. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Joseph P. Burnham, his grandmother, Donna F. Burnham, and his great-grandmother, Faye Rogers. Their memories and legacies lived on through Zach, and now he joins them in eternal peace. Zach's life was a testament to love, kindness, and generosity. Known for his quick wit and ever-present smile, he had a unique ability to uplift those around him. His compassionate nature and willingness to help others left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered. Professionally, Zach was employed at Cajun Construction, where he was respected and admired by his colleagues. His dedication and strong work ethic were matched only by his love for life outside of work. Zach had a passion for the great outdoors. He loved fishing and had a knack for hunting. These hobbies allowed him to bond with family and friends, creating cherished memories along the way. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his beloved daughter Braelyn and his family, who were his greatest sources of happiness. In honor of Zach’s loving spirit, the family kindly suggests donations can be made to a charity of your choice, to continue the generosity and kindness he showed throughout his life. Joseph Z. Burnham's departure leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of those who knew him. Yet, his spirit lives on in the memories of laughter, love, and joy he shared. May we all strive to live with the same compassion and zeal that Zach exhibited every day.

In lieu of flowers, the family of Joseph z Burnham welcomes donations to a charity, nonprofit, church, or organization of your choosing.
