Born on February 15, 1950, in Wilmington, Delaware, Joe was a cherished son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend who touched countless lives with his warm spirit and unwavering love for those around him.
Joe was the beloved son of Ann Marie and Joseph William Remedio, and he carried forward the values they instilled in him throughout his life. Though predeceased by his parents, siblings Judy and Dana, and his dear son Joshua, Joe's legacy continues through his surviving family members who will forever hold his memory in their hearts. He is survived by his devoted son, Philip Remedio, and his cherished grandchildren, Destinee Muscarella and Mason Muscarella-Remedio, who brought immense joy and pride to his life. Joe is also lovingly remembered by his foster son, Ruslan Bosi, his half-sister, Nichole Giannaras, and his ex-wife, Terri Perno, with whom he shared many meaningful years.
Joe graduated from Villanova University with a degree in business, and his passion for learning led him to pursue postgraduate classes in architecture. His professional and personal interests were as diverse as they were profound, reflecting a man who was both intellectually curious and deeply connected to the world around him.
The ocean held a special place in Joe's heart, a love that began as a teenager when he became a lifeguard. Throughout his life, he found solace and joy in swimming, drawn to the ocean's tranquility and majesty. This passion mirrored his personal qualities: a calm, steady presence and a comforting force for family and friends.
Joe's love for his family was the cornerstone of his life. He was a man of immense kindness and generosity, always willing to offer support and guidance. His laughter and stories will be remembered as echoes of warmth and wisdom by all who knew him.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Sarasota Hospice for their kind, supportive, and loving care of Joe during his final days. Their compassion and dedication provided immense comfort to Joe and his family.
In honoring Joe's life, we celebrate a man who lived with grace, integrity, and a profound love for those he held dear. His memory will continue to inspire and guide us, reminding us of the beauty of a life well-lived.
A private service will be held in his honor. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Joe's memory to a charity of one's choice, reflecting his generous spirit and commitment to helping others.
