Born on June 24, 1936, in Mullins, South Carolina, Joseph was a man whose life was defined by his dedication to family, his community, and his enduring spirit.
Joseph was the cherished son of Charlie and Minnie Gause. He was predeceased by his loving parents, his sister Charlena Young, and his sons Joseph W. Gause Jr. and Charles G. Gause. Despite these profound losses, Joseph's spirit remained unbroken, and he continued to be a pillar of strength and guidance for those he loved.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his surviving family: his son William J. Gause, his daughter Mindea Gause, and his stepdaughter Chantain Lennon. Joseph's life was further enriched by his loving friend, Shirley McKelvie, and his special nieces Karen Young and Ka'Wana Morrow, as well as his nephew Charles Young. He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren and a great-grandfather to one, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to his life.
