It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Joseph Thomas Moore, Sr., a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather, on September 14, 2026. Born on June 30, 1977, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Joseph's life was a testament to love, resilience, and unwavering dedication to his family. Joseph was the son of Raymond Terrell Moore, Sr. and Susan Dauterive Moore. From an early age, he was surrounded by the warmth and wisdom of his close-knit family, including his late grandparents, Leo and June Dauterive, and Thomas and Betty Moore. These beloved family members instilled in Joseph the values of kindness, integrity, and hard work, which he carried with him throughout his life. Joseph shared a deep and abiding love with his wife, Marie Elizabeth Larsen, whose partnership was a source of strength and joy throughout their years together. Joseph's heart was forever touched by the memory of his late son, Joseph Thomas Moore, Jr., whom he held dear in his heart every day. As a loving father, Joseph leaves behind a legacy of love and care through his daughters, Trinatte Marie Corkern, June Elizabeth Moore, and Candace Moore. He took immense pride in his role as a grandfather to his three grandchildren, Thomas Ray Moore, Susan Rose Moore, and Ophilia Rose Heath, delighting in every moment spent with them and cherishing the laughter they shared. Joseph is also survived by his brothers, Raymond Terrell Moore Jr. and David Paul Moore. Their bond was one of mutual respect and unwavering support. Throughout his life, Joseph was known for his attention to detail and hard work. He touched the lives of many with his generosity and kindness, leaving a lasting impact on all who were fortunate to know him. His love for Christ and his faith were his foundation. Psalm 23 was a stronghold for him. Joseph Thomas Moore, Sr. will be remembered as a beacon of love and warmth. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he cherished and those who cherished him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
