December 4, 1974 — June 20, 2026

In loving memory, we commemorate the life of Joseph Smith, who passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026, in the comforting presence of his close friends and family. Born on December 4, 1974, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Joseph was a beacon of joy and a pillar of strength, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him. Joseph was the beloved son of Cynthia Smith, who instilled in him the values of compassion and resilience. Throughout his life, Joseph was a devoted family man, cherishing every moment spent with his children, Jordan Smith and his wife Angiee, Joseph Jr., and Serina Smith. His legacy of love and laughter lives on in his eight treasured grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride. He is also survived by his cherished siblings, sister Sonya Smith, and brother G Smith, alongside an extended family and circle of friends whose lives he touched deeply. Joseph dedicated his career to serving his community through his work with the city of Milwaukee, a commitment he began in his early twenties. His dedication and work ethic were matched only by his love for his family, whom he held above all else. A man of great humor and warmth, Joseph was known for his quick wit and the endless jokes that could light up any room. His laughter was infectious, a melody that resonated with all who had the pleasure of hearing it. Joseph's favorite pastime was to see smiles on the faces of those he loved, and he succeeded in doing so with every interaction. The great outdoors called to Joseph, and he found peace in the serene act of fishing. Frequently retreating up north every other weekend, he spent countless hours beside tranquil waters, surrounded by nature’s beauty and the camaraderie of family and friends. A celebration of Joseph’s life will take place on June 28, 2026, at 2:30 PM at Serenity Funeral Home, located at 4217 W. Fon Du Lac Ave. Family, friends, and all whose lives Joseph touched are invited to gather and honor the memory of a man who brought immense joy to the world. In this time of sorrow, we find solace in the laughter and love Joseph shared so freely, and we carry these cherished memories with us as we navigate the days ahead. His spirit will continue to inspire us, reminding us to embrace each day with the same passion and humor that Joseph embodied. He will be dearly missed but forever remembered in our hearts.
