Joseph Siecinski

February 28, 1963 — April 15, 2015

Joseph Siecinski, a beloved husband, devoted father, and cherished grandfather, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on February 28, 1963, in Chinon, France, Joseph's life was a remarkable journey filled with love, service, and a profound impact on all who knew him. Joseph was the treasured son of the late Leo and Patricia Siecinski. He was preceded in death by his parents, whose values of kindness and hard work he carried throughout his life. His father Leo was career military which took the family all over the world. Joseph dedicated much of the past 2 years of his life in helping to care for his beloved father and thought it the greatest compliment if someone mentioned that he did something like his father did. Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Lynnette Vedder. Together, they celebrated 34 beautiful years of marriage, having tied the knot on July 13, 1991 after dating for 6 years. Their love was enduring, filled with adventure, humor and deep respect for each to pursue their individual dreams and passions, their home welcomed loved ones and 'like' family with open arms. Joseph was the proud father of two children, Nicole McDowell (Tim) and Garrett Siecinski (Jazmin), and the devoted grandfather to Wyatt Crady, Lylah McDowell, Heith McDowell and Natalia D Siecinski. His family was the center of his universe, and he delighted in watching them grow and thrive. He is also survived by his loving siblings, Madonna Hancock Overberg (Ron), John (Gayle), Timothy (Cyndi), and Phil (Marsha), along with extended family members Mareth Vedder, Nicole, and Ruben Paredes also nieces/nephews Kasha, Anna, Robert, Gabe, Nate, Luke, Eli, Ruben, Reyna, Ben and Zach. Joseph's life was characterized by a deep sense of duty and service. He was an Eagle Scout earning ALL the badges. He proudly served in the US Army from 1980 to 1984 and in the Army Reserves until 1988. As a Military Intelligence specialist focused on the maintenance of Electronic Warfare/Intercept Systems, he achieved the rank of SP5 at the time the youngest to do so since the Vietnam War. The military took him to Korea, the ultimately Fort Ord. His dedication and skill earned him numerous accolades, including awards in M16 Marksmanship and Leadership. Following his military service, Joseph was quickly hired by Hewlett Packard. His career in high tech with Hewlett Packard and Agilent Technologies were also filled with high achievement, where his role expanded with his contributions - Repair Technician, Business Development, Regional Marketing Manager, and Global Support Manager. His career spanned over two decades, during which he made significant contributions, again with accolades in Top Sales, and process improvements saving $2M/year. In 2010, Joseph embarked on a new journey as a Business Coach and Mentor, first with ActionCoach, then founding BrainShare, a company dedicated to empowering others to reach their fullest potential. He penned his first book, "BrainShare" and launched a successful online training portal. Joseph's commitment to his community was unwavering. He was an active member of the Santa Clara and Silicon Valley Central Chambers of Commerce and served on the boards of the Red Cross, College of Adaptive Arts, and The Lodge at Lake Tahoe, among others. He was a man of many passions, with scuba diving taking him to beautiful destinations like Thailand and La Paz, he especially loved the Hammerhead sharks. He was well traveled, the family enjoyed trips to Australia, Italy, Spain, Hawaii, Fiji , Norway and Mexico to name a few. Ultimately, spending cherished moments with his family brought him the greatest joy, but simple pleasures such as taking naps, binge watching NCIS and Ancient Aliens or being world champion on spider solitaire were his downtime passions. Known for his quick wit and vibrant smile, Joseph had a unique gift for making people feel valued and uplifted. His humor, generosity, and willingness to help others were hallmarks of his character, leaving an indelible mark on all fortunate enough to know him. We'll never forget his common phrases of, "Isn't that interesting", "put it on the calendar", "just try your best", "it's my honor and privilege", "good morning sunshine" or "Happy Monday" , nor his twinkly eyes, his infectious smile and often corny jokes. A celebration of Joseph's life will be held on April 30, 2026, at Lima & Campagna Sunnyvale Mortuary, located on Hollenbeck Ave in Sunnyvale. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Veterans Organizations or the College of Adaptive Arts, causes close to Joseph's heart. Joseph Siecinski leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to helping others. His spirit will continue to inspire and guide all who were touched by his remarkable life.
