He was the cherished son of the late Randall Proliriye Rajakirivethi and Akilani Fernando, who instilled in him the values of integrity and compassion, which he carried throughout his life.
Joseph answered the call to serve his country with honor and distinction as a member of the Sri Lankan Army. His years in service were marked by unwavering dedication and a steadfast commitment to his comrades and country, traits that followed him in everything he pursued.
A devoted husband, Joseph shared a beautiful marriage of 42 years with his beloved wife, Mary Rajakirivethi. Together, they built a life grounded in love and mutual respect, filled with warmth and laughter. Joseph was a proud and loving father to his children, Lasana, Priyanki, and Prilonishi. He found great joy in their achievements and was a constant source of support and wisdom.
His legacy extends beyond his immediate family to include four cherished grandchildren who adored their grandfather's stories and gentle guidance, and two wonderful great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy and laughter in his later years.
