With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph "Joe Joe" Carvajales, who left this world peacefully on June 6, 2026, after a valiant battle following a severe stroke that compromised his respiratory system. Born on April 8, 1985, in Sacramento, California, Joe Joe lived a life brimming with warmth, laughter, and a spirit that touched everyone who had the privilege to know him.
Joe Joe was the cherished son of Dawn Coleman and Joseph Carvajales. Throughout his life, he was the embodiment of love and resilience, even in the face of profound loss, having been predeceased by his beloved Father, Joseph Carvajales Jr, his paternal and maternal grandparents, several aunts and uncles, cousins, and a few dear friends.
He leaves behind a family who adored him, including his mother Dawn and stepfather Willie, his sisters Daunisha and Clewone, stepsister Brittney, brothers Christopher, Steven, and Izia, and stepbrothers Branden and Blake. Joe Joe's legacy of love extends to his stepdaughter Zaniyah, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever remember his guiding presence.
A proud graduate of Keema High School in his hometown of Sacramento, Joe Joe was known for his unwavering work ethic and spent his final years contributing with dedication as an operator at Lawson Inc. His colleagues and friends there admired his commitment and infectious camaraderie.
Joe Joe lived life to the fullest, embracing every moment with a zest that was contagious. He cherished his time outdoors, whether fishing on a boat or by the bank, camping under a canopy of stars, or hunting in the vast expanse of nature. He had an abiding love for BBQs and family gatherings—a testament to his belief in the power of togetherness.
A man of many qualities, Joe Joe was celebrated for his contagious smile and a personality that radiated warmth and kindness. His caring and loving nature touched the hearts of many, as did his motivational words of encouragement. Known for his protective and supportive demeanor, Joe Joe was a steadfast figure in the lives of those he loved. His untouchable ego, tempered with humility, was a source of strength and inspiration to all.
Though Joe Joe never married, he embraced the bachelor life with joy, often proclaiming it "drama-free"—a sentiment that encapsulated his love for simplicity and peace.
To honor Joe Joe's life and celebrate his memory, a service will be held on June 25, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes, located at 4701 Marysville Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95838. Family and friends are invited to join in commemorating a life well-lived and to share stories of the joy and love Joe Joe brought into the world.
In this time of mourning, let us also celebrate the indelible mark Joe Joe has left on our hearts. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit—resilient, loving, and full of life—endures in the cherished memories we hold dear.
