Joseph Hartmann

Joseph Hartmann, a deeply loved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on August 9, 1953, in Weehawken, New Jersey, Joe's life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and love for his family. The beloved son of the late Robert A. Hartmann and Theresa Fabiani Hartmann, Joe was raised with strong values and a keen sense of responsibility, which he carried throughout his life. He was predeceased by his devoted parents, but their memory lived on in his heart and through the stories he lovingly shared with his family. Joe was a proud husband to Lori, a loving father to his sons, Robert and Michael (Kasandra), and a doting grandfather to his cherished granddaughters, Amelia and Savannah. His life was further enriched by the companionship of his only sibling, Eric (Barbara), and the joy brought by his nephews, Joshua, David, and Michael. He also leaves behind grandnephews and grandnieces, alongside numerous cousins, relatives, and friends stretching from New Jersey to New Mexico. Joe's professional journey began at Qwest, which later became CenturyLink, where he built a successful career as a Network Technician. His work ethic and determination were commendable, and he briefly extended his expertise to Plateau Telecommunications, showcasing his adaptability and commitment to his field. His colleagues remember him as a dedicated professional who always had a kind word and a helping hand. As a member of the Communication Workers of America (CWA) union, Joe was a staunch supporter of workers' rights and a respected member of the community. In his earlier years, he found great joy in playing golf, a sport he cherished dearly. As time went on, he transitioned from active participation to being an avid spectator, often found enjoying various sports events, especially during football and basketball seasons. Joe's warmth and kindness were evident in every aspect of his life. He had an innate ability to connect with people, leaving lasting impressions on those fortunate enough to have known him. His laughter, wisdom, and gentle spirit will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of the donor's choice, honoring Joe's legacy of generosity and compassion. As we bid farewell to this remarkable man, we do so with gratitude for the memories he created and the lives he touched. Joe's spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
