Joseph Galiano was born to the embrace of his parents, Joseph and Raffaella on January 26, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY. With a life spanning 84 years, Joseph left this world peacefully on March 2, 2026, surrounded by the family who loved and cherished him.
Joseph’s life was a testament to love and devotion. On November 19, 1966, he married the love of his life, Marie, forging a partnership that would span 59 years. Their journey together, however, began long before, as childhood sweethearts whose bond grew ever stronger over the decades. Together, they nurtured a family filled with love, welcoming their beloved children, Dina and Anthony.
As a young man, he excelled in baseball, playing at a high level and earning the admiration of many with his skill and passion for the game. It was a passion that brought him immense joy and countless cherished memories. He also enjoyed all things country and western which would lead to him taking frequent trips with his family out of NY to spend time and share experiences with the people he was closest with.
Family gatherings were always marked by shared stories and memories, each one punctuated by his signature jokes that never failed to bring smiles to those around him. His easy-going nature and loving spirit held the bonds of his family together for generations.
He is survived by his devoted wife Marie, their son Anthony, and their grandchildren, Marisa and Michael. His siblings, Mary Ann, Jeanie, and Butchie, remember him as a loving brother. In his passing he will be welcomed by the embrace of his Parents Joseph and Raffaella, his brother Vinny and his cherished daughter Dina.
Joseph’s life was filled with shared moments such as family trips and gatherings spent in the company of dear friends and family. Each moment was a testament to his belief in the importance of family and friendship, values he instilled in those he loved.
