A lifelong resident of Michigan, Joseph graduated from Covert High School, where he cultivated a passion for learning and developed friendships that lasted a lifetime. His career journey took him to Van Buren County and later to Walmart, where he was known for his hard work, integrity, and the genuine camaraderie he shared with his colleagues.

He is survived by his loving sister, Christine Woody, whose bond with Joseph was a testament to the enduring power of family. Joseph also leaves behind his brother-in-law, Oscar Woody Sr., and his dear friend, Bernice Cherry, who stood by him through life's joys and challenges. He was a proud and affectionate uncle to his nieces and nephews, imparting wisdom and kindness that they will carry forward in their own lives.
