Proud Puerto Rican Born on January 29, 1947, in Brooklyn, New York, Joseph was the cherished son of the late Joseph "Jose" and Zeleta "Margaret" Sabatel. Joseph's life was a testament to love, resilience, and unwavering dedication. He married Patricia "Bunny" Dixon, in 1974. Together, they built a life of love revolving around their daughters until Patricia's passing in 1990. Joseph was a devoted father to his daughters, Monet (Michael) and Natash (Gift), whom he raised with the utmost care and affection. Joseph, the karate instructor, the life guard, was a proud alumnus of The Deaf School in Manhattan and later furthered his education at Lehman College in The Bronx. He loved family gatherings, video calls from family and friends, and The Lord. He adored and was deeply loved by his son in law Michael who he proudly called his son, the proud grandfather of four: Verdo (Maiya), Glenn (Kayla), Tanies, and Da'Von. His great-grandchildren, Ja'Mari and Kalissi, brought immense joy to his later years. His surviving family also includes his daughter Wanda (Andre), his brother Vaughn, nieces Stephanie, Amber, and Robyn, and nephews Arie, Vaughn, and Troy. Joseph was predeceased by his parents Jose and Margaret, his wife Patricia, his brothers Michael and "Guy," and nephews Michael and Leon.
