In Loving Memory

Joseph E. Ostruh Jr.
July 2, 1960 — May 13, 2026
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved Joseph E. Ostruh Jr., who left this world peacefully on May 13, 2026, after a very courageous battle. Born on July 2, 1960, in Cleveland, Ohio, Joe graced this earth for 65 wonderful years, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and cherished memories.
Joseph was the cherished son of Joseph and Winona Ostruh, who predeceased him, leaving behind an indelible mark of kindness and humor that Joe carried with him throughout his life. He was the dear brother of Jennifer Balasa (Thomas), Bruce (Shari), Jill Pavlus (Carl), Steven, and Kelly. As a loving uncle, Joe shared countless adventures and moments of joy with his nieces and nephews: Bruce Jr., Jeffrey, Amanda, Daniel, Jarred, and Ashley, imparting upon them his infectious love of life.
Joe was a man characterized by his quick wit and fun-loving attitude. His ability to find humor in the everyday and his readiness with a joke to lighten any mood made him a treasured friend to many. Joe's presence was a beacon of joy, and he leaves behind countless friends who will forever remember his mischievous grin and kind-hearted spirit.
A private ceremony will be held to honor Joseph's life, allowing his family to celebrate his remarkable journey in a personal and intimate manner. While his physical presence will be deeply missed, Joseph's spirit will continue to live on in the laughter and love that he shared with all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Joseph's memory to a charity of your choice, a gesture that embodies Joe's generous heart and his commitment to making the world a brighter place.
As we say goodbye to Joseph, we hold onto the memories of a brother, uncle, and friend who taught us the value of a good laugh and the importance of standing by one another. May his legacy of joy and kindness continue to inspire us all, and may he rest in peace, forever remembered and always loved.
