It is with profound sadness and deep love that we announce the passing of our beloved grandmother, Josefa Mendes Andrade, who passed away peacefully on August 27, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on March 9, 1935, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Josefa lived a life full of love, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family. Josefa was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and beloved member of her community. Throughout her 91 years of life, she created a legacy built on love, strength, and kindness. Her gentle spirit and warm heart were a source of comfort and joy to all who knew her. She had an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel special and loved, leaving a lasting impact on the hearts of many. Her family was the center of her world, and she devoted herself to raising her children—Margareth, Ana Márcia, Lindo Max, Maxwell, Sonia, Rubens, and Roberto—with love and nurturing care. Her ten grandchildren, Thais, Thais, Luiza, Larissa, Marco, Yasmin, Pollyanna, Aline, Reynan, and Junior, along with her five great-grandchildren, were her pride and joy. Josefa's legacy will continue to shine brightly through them, as they carry forward her values and spirit. Josefa was predeceased by her parents, Maria and Antonio Andrade, and her beloved grandson, Ramonn Saigg. Although our hearts are heavy with her loss, we find comfort in knowing she is reunited with them. Her love was a guiding light, and her strength an inspiration. Josefa’s hands may no longer hold ours, but her teachings and the cherished memories we shared will remain in our hearts forever. Her life was a testament to the power of love and family, and her spirit will live on in the stories and traditions she passed down. A service to honor and celebrate Josefa's life will be held on August 29, 2026, at 12:00 PM at St. Vincent Catholic Church, located at 6350 NW 18th St, Margate, FL 33063. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in her memory. Rest peacefully, Vó Josefa.
