Jose Rodriguez, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed peacefully at his home at Lakewell Court Assisted Living, surrounded by his family, on September 1, 2026. Born on March 3, 1933, in Fort Davis, Texas, Jose lived a life rich with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. The son of Frank and Flora Rodriguez, Jose was raised with a strong sense of family and community. His early years in Fort Davis laid the foundation for a life of service and dedication. As a young man, Jose answered the call to serve his country, enlisting in the United States Army. Rising to the rank of Sergeant First Class, Jose was deeply proud of his military service, which instilled in him values of discipline, honor, and camaraderie. Jose's life was filled with an enduring passion for the great outdoors. An avid deer hunter and fisherman, he found peace and joy in the quietude of nature. These pursuits not only connected him to the earth but also provided countless stories that he relished sharing with friends and family. His tales, often filled with humor and a touch of embellishment, were legendary and never failed to bring a smile to those around him.
