In Loving Memory of Jose Luis Reyes With hearts filled with gratitude and sorrow, we announce the passing of Jose Luis Reyes, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He left us on September 29, 2026, at the age of 68, surrounded by the love and warmth of his family at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Born on April 20, 1958, in the quaint town of Carrizo Springs, Texas, to Juanita and Fabian Reyes. Jose was a beacon of kindness and strength throughout his life, touching all who had the privilege of knowing him. In Carrizo Springs, Jose grew up and met the mother of his children, Ludivina Reyes. Together, they built a beautiful life and a loving home for their family. Jose dedicated several years working hard, day in and day out in the oilfield to provide for his family, demonstrating a tireless work ethic and commitment to his loved ones. He was known for many things: his funny sense of humor, his love for sweets, and above all, his unconditional love for his family. He worked hard to provide for his loved ones and took great pride in his children, whom he considered among his greatest blessings. One of his deepest joys was spending time with his grandchildren, and he often said that simply hearing their little voices brought him so much happiness. Education was important to Jose, and he proudly graduated from college as an autobody technician, a field in which he excelled with great skill and passion. Beyond his professional achievements, Jose found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly his love for fishing. He also found great joy in playing the guitar for his church, using his talents to praise and worship the Lord. Jose’s deep faith in God filled his heart with peace and allowed him to be grateful for the life he was blessed to have. He is predeceased by this parents Juanita and Fabian Reyes as well as by his siblings Elida, Carlos, and Fabian Jr , whom he held dearly. He is survived by his devoted children: Joe (Victoria) Reyes, Joel Reyes, and Ludivina (Russell G.) Reyes. His heart swelled with pride and joy for his seven grandchildren: Jose, Maricela, Matthew, Marianna, Chloe, Luca, and Adrian. He is also survived by his siblings: Rosa, Joanne, and Raul, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and love. Jose's life was a testament to the power of love, dedication, and the importance of faith and family. His warm smile, gentle spirit, and unwavering support will be missed by all who knew and loved him, but his memory will continue to shine through the family he cherished so dearly. Rest peacefully, Dad. Thank you for the love you gave us, the memories you left behind, and the beautiful example of faith and family you showed us. You will forever be loved, forever missed, and never forgotten. Until we meet again. A service will be held on November 7, 2026 at 12:00 PM at Higdon Oaks, 5718 Higdon Rd.
