Jose was born on November 14, 1964, in the vibrant city of El Paso, Texas, where he cultivated deep roots and lifelong connections. After courageously living with liver disease, Jose passed away surrounded by the love and warmth of his family. Jose was the cherished son of Jose and Francisca Padilla, who instilled in him values of resilience and kindness. He was predeceased by his loving parents and his brothers, Mario and Apolonio, with whom he shared countless memories and adventures. A proud alumnus of Bowie High School, Jose pursued further education in technical refrigeration and mechanical studies, skills that he honed throughout his career. He dedicated many years to his work at the Civic Center and Goodwill, where he was known for his unwavering commitment and a gentle touch that made a difference in the lives of those he encountered. Jose's life was a testament to his love for the simple joys of life. Known for his beautiful smile and fearless spirit, he had an innate ability to brighten any room he entered. His passion for making pastries revealed a creative side that delighted his family and friends. In addition to his professional and personal pursuits, Jose was recognized for his impeccable organizational skills and his love for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. These qualities were a reflection of his inner strength and discipline, traits that his family admired deeply. Jose is survived by his beloved daughters, Angela Luanne Torres and Jazmine Selena Rivera, who carry forward his legacy of love and strength. His grandson, Leo Rivera, brought immense joy to Jose's life, and his memory will forever be a guiding light for little Leo. Jose is also remembered by his ex-wife, Mariquita Padilla, and his siblings, Alberto Padilla, Francisco Padilla, Julia Orozco, Maria Martinez, and Gloria Portillo, alongside numerous nieces and nephews who held him in high regard. The family extends a special message: "We will forever miss you, Tio Pepe, till we meet again."
