In Loving Memory

Jose E. Muñoz
December 5, 1939 — July 21, 2026
Jose E. Muñoz, called Pepe by his friends and family. Beloved husband to Emma B. Muñoz, father to Rodolfo (preceded in death), Sonia (Manuel) Gallegos, Roberto (Anna) Muñoz and Angelica Muñoz; and grandfather to Amanda, Daniel, Christian, Kara, and Alayna. Jose is remembered as a kind, cheerful, and giving man. He enjoyed meeting people, engaging in conversation, and handing out CD's full of inspirational and classic music. He often gave words of encouragement and greeted people with a happy, welcoming smile. A few of his favorite sayings when meeting new people or being asked how he was, “Life couldn't be better”, “I'm Blessed every new day that God gives me”. Then shortly after, he’d follow with one of his cheesy jokes that still tickled him after repeating it for the 60th time. He was known for his little phrases such as: “It’s the best in the West” and “It’s sugar-free". Jose prioritized family and enjoyed sharing memories of his childhood, making new ones while sharing his love of music. His love of music and positive attitude toward life, and the blessings it afforded him have left a lasting impression on all who knew him. His presence is greatly missed. Papá, we love you and feel comforted knowing you have been rejoined with your loved ones, and most of all, your son, Rodolfo.
