José battled bravely with drug-use and mental illness, displaying a strength and resilience that were truly inspiring. He was known for his quick wit and remarkable ability to ease tension with just a few words. His warmth and humor made everyone around him feel comfortable and valued, and he had a gift for turning ordinary moments into cherished memories. José's love for cooking was one of his many passions. He was an avid cook, often seen delighting his family and friends with culinary creations that not only satisfied the stomach but also warmed the heart. His kitchen was a place of laughter, togetherness, and joy. He is survived by his devoted spouse, Gabriela Hernández, with whom he shared 12 loving years of marriage, and their cherished child, José Jr. Rodriguez. José also leaves behind his father, Alex Rodriguez, and his brother, John-Luke Rodriguez. He was predeceased by his beloved mother, María Aldaco, and his sister, Alexe Rodriguez. Though José did not have grandchildren or great-grandchildren, his legacy of love and kindness will resonate through generations.
