It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Jordon E. Serrette, who was given his eternal wings on September 30, 2026. Born on December 8, 2003, in Houston, Texas, Jordon graced this world with his vibrant life and left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Jordon was a cherished son to Nerissa Hewitt and Harold Serrette, who raised him with love and pride. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Roger and Willie Pearl Williams, and his great uncle, Thomas Williams. His memory will be lovingly carried on by his devoted mother, Nerissa McLin, his caring father, Harold Serrette, along with his stepmother Wendy in Trinidad, and his siblings Z'Keus Smith (LaRae), Ian Smith, Karlycia, and Kennedy McLin. Jordon's memory will also be treasured by a beautiful family of loved ones who will forever cherish his spirit. He attended elementary, middle, and high school in the Humble ISD, where he actively participated in the ROTC, earning accolades for his dedication and service. Jordon's passion for working with his hands and caring for animals was evident in his dreams of returning to school to become a welder. His hands brought life to auto detailing, and he lovingly cared for his scruffy dog, Shadow, and his snappy turtle, Draco. Jordon found joy in cooking and working at various eateries, always keeping himself busy and out of trouble. Known for his infectious wit and heartwarming smile, Jordon was a beacon of kindness, always willing to lend a helping hand to family and strangers alike. His ability to connect with anyone he met was a testament to his compassionate nature. His life was a tapestry of resilience and determination, and he embraced every moment with a somber spirit and a willingness to do whatever was needed to survive. Jordon was a young man searching for his place in the world, and his presence will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. A service to honor and celebrate Jordon's life will be held on October 9, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the New Beginnings Church, located at 10921 Foy Lane, Houston, Texas 77093. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who called, prayed, stayed, and supported Jordon throughout his life. He is now peacefully at rest, embraced by the love of a Good Father, with no contest or regrets. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in Jordon's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting Jordon's generous spirit and love for helping others.
