It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jordan S. Thompson, who departed this world peacefully in his sleep on February 27, 2026, at the age of 38. Born on April 7, 1987, in the warm embrace of Manchester, Connecticut, Jordan lived a life marked by kindness, humor, and an unwavering passion for the things he loved most. Jordan was the beloved son of Karen and James Thompson, who instilled in him a deep sense of compassion and integrity. He was a devoted brother to his surviving sister, Ashley Thompson, who cherished him as her confidant and friend. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Jayne Quinn, Dorothy, and James Thompson Sr., whose legacy of love and strength he carried forward throughout his life. A graduate of Lyman High School in 2005, Jordan furthered his education at Manchester Community College before pursuing his passion for knowledge at Eastern Connecticut State University. His professional journey led him to various roles in disability services and sports entertainment, where he made a meaningful impact at organizations such as the Norwich Navigators and Hartford Athletic. His colleagues and those he served remember him for his dedication and the warmth he brought to every interaction. Outside of his professional pursuits, Jordan was a man of diverse interests. From a young age, he found solace and joy in horseback riding, a passion he pursued from the tender age of nine until his illness made it no longer possible. His love for baseball was equally profound, and he was often found at games, cheering on his favorite teams with an infectious enthusiasm. Jordan will be remembered for his funny, caring, and passionate nature. His humor could light up the darkest rooms, and his caring spirit touched all who had the privilege of knowing him. His passion for life was evident in everything he did, from his work to his hobbies, and his memory will be cherished for the joy he brought into our lives. A service to celebrate Jordan's life will be held on March 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Colchester Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation, an organization close to Jordan's heart. The Thompson family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all the caretakers who provided unwavering support and compassion during Jordan's final year. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
