Jonathan "BIG JON" Williams

April 16, 1970 — June 28, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jonathan "BIG JON" Williams, who peacefully departed this world on June 28, 2026, at his cherished home, after a courageous battle with heart failure. Born on April 16, 1970, in Eloise, Michigan, Jonathan filled 56 years with love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to those he held dear. Jonathan was a proud Detroit native, having graduated from Kettering High School. His thirst for knowledge led him to Schoolcraft College, where he majored in construction, showcasing his industrious spirit and versatility. Known for his hustle, Jonathan had a hand in everything, always eager to lend his skills and energy to any project or endeavor. In 2009, Jonathan married the love of his life, Tywonia. Together, they built a home filled with warmth, raising four wonderful children—Jaquai, Jonathan, Tyrell, and Dream—and later welcoming two more, Teriona and Tiana, along with a beloved grandson. Family was the cornerstone of Jonathan's life, and he relished every moment spent with them, from spirited family vacations to cheering on his favorite sports teams. Jonathan was the life of every gathering, with a contagious smile and an endless repertoire of jokes. Whether singing karaoke, dancing, or watching a game, his joy was infectious, and his presence could light up any room. He was a man who loved deeply and lived fully, leaving a mark on everyone he met. He is survived by his devoted wife, Tywonia, his loving mother, Audrey McCain, and his cherished children and grandson. Jonathan also leaves behind his siblings, Nathaniel (Tiffany), Dion (Monique), Joseph, Darius, Charon (Misty), Lashawnda (Felon), Latoya (Kenneth), Tyra (Leonard), Tyrese (Andre), and Thaiesha. Preceding him in death were his father, Jonathan Williams, and his mother, Elain Abbott. Though Jonathan's physical presence will be missed, his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. His legacy of love, laughter, and resilience will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Jonathan's memory, a fitting tribute to a man who gave so much to others. May Jonathan rest in eternal peace, his memory a blessing to all who knew him.
