Jonah Bryson Shaw, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and friend, passed away suddenly on February 20, 2026, at the age of 40. Jonah was born on May 29, 1985, in Austell, Georgia, to his loving parents, Jan and William Brown. He was preceded in death by his father, Steve Shaw, and his sister, Donna Tasker, both of whom he cherished dearly. Jonah's life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and genuine affection for those around him. For 25 years, he committed himself to a career in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, building things with his own hands. His deep expertise and passion for his work were admired by all who knew him, and his craftsmanship was a reflection of his meticulous nature and boundless creativity. A man of many interests, Jonah found joy in hunting and camping, activities that allowed him to embrace the serenity of the outdoors. However, it was on his motorcycle that Jonah truly felt free, the wind in his hair and the open road ahead. It was in these moments that his spirit soared, unencumbered and alive. Jonah was known for his remarkable ability to light up a room simply by walking into it. His warmth, kindness, and infectious humor endeared him to everyone he met. He had a special gift for making people feel valued and loved, and his presence was a source of comfort and joy. In 2019, Jonah married the love of his life, Valan Shaw, on February 29, a leap year day that symbolized the rare and extraordinary bond they shared. Together, they created a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Jonah is survived by Valan, his devoted partner and soulmate, who will forever hold him in her heart. He also leaves behind a precious legacy in the form of his grandchild, who brought an abundance of happiness into his life. Jonah was a doting grandfather, and his love and wisdom will continue to guide the next generation. A celebration of Jonah's life will be held on March 5, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Hutchinson and Croft, located at 421 Sage St. Family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by Jonah are invited to join in honoring his memory and celebrating the incredible life he led. In a special message from his family: "Ride high, babe, and give 'em hell. You will always be loved no matter what."
