With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the peaceful passing of Jon Adam Stanley, who left us on June 2, 2026, at his home in McKinney, Texas, surrounded by his beloved brothers and close friends. Born on January 23, 1964, in Sherman, Texas, Jon was a beacon of warmth, joy, and unwavering loyalty.
Jon was the cherished son of the late Frank Stanley and Dorothy Maner Stanley, both of whom predeceased him and undoubtedly greeted him with open arms in the hereafter. Jon’s legacy of love and dedication continues to thrive through his children: daughter Candice Stanley and her husband Jordan, son Tyler Stanley, twin daughters Maddie and Mindie Stanley, and son Kingston Stanley. His pride and joy were his four grandchildren, who brought immense happiness to his life.
In his formative years, Jon attended Bonham High School, graduating with the class of 1982. He pursued higher education at Tyler Jr. College, earning a degree in business. Jon's professional journey was marked by his determination and business acumen, but it was his personal attributes that truly defined him.
Jon was known for his big smile and welcoming nature, traits that made him a pillar of support for anyone in need. His passion for football was evident to all who knew him, and he was a fiercely loyal fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, often donning their colors with pride.
. He is survived by his brothers, Steve (and wife Paula), Ben (and wife Rebecca), and David (and wife Michele), as well as his sister, Reta Herriage (and husband Jimmy). Jon's extended family includes several nieces and nephews .
A service to honor Jon’s life will be held on June 27, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Washburn Cemetery, located at 151 Hayden Hall Rd, Bells, Texas. This gathering will be an opportunity for family and friends to come together, share fond memories, and celebrate a remarkable man who touched so many lives.
The Stanley family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all of Jon's caregivers, whose compassion and dedication provided comfort during his final days. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Jon’s memory to a charity close to his heart, reflecting his lifelong commitment to helping others.
