He was the beloved son of Ronald Bearce and Erma Andersen, both of whom preceded him in death, alongside his siblings Rick, Johnny, and Sandra.

After graduating from Proviso East High School, he pursued further education at Tritan College, where he earned an associate degree. His academic pursuits were a testament to his commitment to personal growth and lifelong learning.
Answering the call to serve his country, Jon enlisted in the United States Army, where he demonstrated unwavering dedication and bravery. After his military service, he embarked on a career that spanned many years, working as a warehouse supervisor and in retail. His work ethic and leadership were admired by colleagues and friends alike.
Those who knew Jon will fondly remember his love for life's simple pleasures—whether it was cooking up his famous chicken, enjoying a good cup of coffee, or spending precious moments with his grandchildren. Jon was blessed with Five grandchildren:Ramell, Logan, Angelo, Milah, Atlas, They were the light of his life, bringing him joy and pride with every hug and shared laughter.
Jon's character was marked by his blunt honesty and straightforward nature. He had an uncanny ability to say things as they were, peppering conversations with a humor that left those around him in stitches. His presence was a joy, and he was truly a blast to be around.
He is survived by his devoted children, Justin and Codie, who carry forward his legacy of sincerity and humor. His grandchildren will forever hold his memory close, cherishing the moments spent with a grandfather who was both a guiding hand and a playful companion.
