It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of JoLynn Adamson Jones, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who peacefully left this world on July 22, 2026, surrounded by her closest family and friends in her cherished home. JoLynn was born on March 13, 1968, in Saint Joseph, Missouri, to Joseph and Rheba Adamson (Lytle), both of whom preceded her in death.
JoLynn's life was a testament to love, compassion, and dedication. She spent her early years in Atchison, Kansas, where she graduated from Atchison High School in 1968. She went on to pursue higher education at Wichita State University, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, setting the stage for a career that spanned 36 years in the mental health field. Her work was more than a career; it was a calling, and she touched the lives of countless individuals with her kindness and empathy.
An active member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, JoLynn was known for her vibrant spirit and her commitment to community service. Her warmth and generosity extended beyond her professional life and into her personal relationships, where she was a constant source of support and joy for her family and friends.
JoLynn's greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her precious grandchildren. She is survived by her beloved children, Alexis Jefferson (Tarique), Eric Jones III (Addie), and Joseph Jones (Angel), as well as her treasured grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. She also leaves behind her loving siblings, Charles Robinson, Audrey Cannon (Dennis), and Joseph Martinez (Tina), each of whom held a special place in her heart.
