It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude that we announce the passing of our beloved Johnnie Will Magee, who departed this world on April 3, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on February 27, 1958, in the welcoming town of Bogalusa, Louisiana, Johnnie was a cherished son of the late Gloria Jean Harry Peters and Leonard Charles (affectionately known as Bubba) Peters. Johnnie's early years were spent in Bogalusa Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his devoted parents, his brother Sylvester (Sly) Magee, his cherished grandmother Maudell Peters, and his loving aunts Irene Harry Rogers, Estella Speights, and Willena Jones, as well as his uncle, William Harry, brothers in laws Herman Reece and Benjamin Brown Sr. Also a nephew Damian Davis. Their legacy of kindness and resilience lives on through Johnnie and the family he leaves behind. Johnnie's educational journey began in the Bogalusa School System, where he not only excelled academically but also found his passion on the track field. His talents and determination led him to further his education at Dubrae technology school where he honed his skills and prepared for a career that would span decades. Johnnie dedicated many years working in the casino industry of Lake Charles, Louisiana, where he became known for his expertise in fixing machines, his commitment to excellence, and his warm, approachable nature. Three grandchildren _ of ___ ,__and___of __.His leaves behind his siblings: Rogie Magee Sr. (Yvette) of Humble, Texas, Rev. Leonard G. Peters (Valerie) of Humble, Texas, Craig M. Peters (Tess) of Fulsher, Texas, Augustine Brown, Wenn Jefferson-Reece, Lenora (Charles Lynch) of Houston, Texas, Wilhelmina (Michael) King of Jamaica, New York, and Patricia (Eric) Marks of Topeka, Kansas. His family was his pride, and he cherished each member, including his many grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a vast network of friends and extended relatives. Among those who held a special place in Johnnie's heart were his special cousins Sammie and Naz Rogers who were like siblings to him, and his close friend, Frank Parker. Pam, another dear friend, was also among those who brought joy and companionship to his life. In went on to Debry technical school and earned a __ he worked for _ for_ years. John also worked in Lake Charles Louisiana fixing machines at the casinos. As we bid farewell to Johnnie, we celebrate a life of memory.
