Born on March 11, 1993, in Los Angeles, CA, Johnesha graced the lives of those around her with warmth, laughter, and an unwavering spirit until her sudden departure after a brief hospitalization.
Johnesha's life was a tapestry woven with love, strength, and resilience. She was the cherished daughter of Monique Hicks-Washington and the late Johnny Jackson, who predeceased her along with her grandmother, Paulette Hicks, and uncle, Tyrone Hicks. She leaves behind a legacy of love embodied in her daughter, Egypt Chalk, and her devoted partner, Clifton Chalk. Johnesha's heart was full when she became a mother in December 2020, and her love for Egypt was boundless and unconditional. Together with Clifton, they built a life rich in love and cherished memories.
A proud graduate of Val Verde High School, class of 2011, Johnesha was known for her tenacity and vibrant personality. Her educational journey was marked by her determination and her desire to create a bright future for herself and her family.
Johnesha is survived by a large and loving family, including her mother, Monique Hicks-Washington, her step-father, DeShonski "Pops" Washington, and her siblings: Dashon Jackson, Alexus Sparks, Shonique Washington, Shy'Nyi Washington, Brandi Elledge, Johnny Jackson Jr., Jordan Jackson, Jalen Jackson, and Damario Jackson. Her extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, aunts, and uncles, along with countless dear friends, will forever treasure her memory and the profound impact she had on their lives.
The family invites all who knew and loved Johnesha to join them in a celebration of her life on May 29, 2026, at McWane Family Funeral Home, located at 350 North San Jacinto St., Hemet, CA, 92543. It is here that we will gather to honor the remarkable woman who brought so much joy and love into the world.
