It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Johnathan “Cadillac” Smith, a beloved son, brother, and friend. Born on March 3, 1978, in Phoenix, Arizona, Johnathan graced this world with his unique charm and compassionate spirit. He peacefully left us on August 10, 2023, at his home, after bravely confronting a long-term addiction.
Johnathan was the cherished son of Edward and Kari Smith, who survive him and continue to hold dear the countless memories they shared. He is also mourned by his siblings, a large extended family of many aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom will miss him dearly. He joins his beloved grandparents, Ted and Alice Bauder, and his two aunts, Samantha Richards and Mistie Bauder, in eternal rest.
Johnathan was a man of many passions. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was spending time with his family, tinkering with his car, or exploring new adventures with his loyal dog, Chaos. His love for life was infectious, and he was known for his unwavering kindness and his dedication to lifting the spirits of those around him. If someone was feeling down, Johnathan would go out of his way to make them smile, showcasing his selfless nature and genuine heart.
A celebration of Johnathan’s life will be held on August 15, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Eternity Rest, located at 18001 N 79th Avenue, Glendale, Arizona. Family and friends are invited to join in remembrance and honor the life of a man who gave so much to others.
In honor of Johnathan, donations can be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting his generous spirit and his commitment to helping others in need.
Though Johnathan’s journey has ended, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His legacy of kindness, humor, and unconditional love will continue to inspire us every day. Rest in peace, dear Johnathan. You will never be forgotten.
