November 12, 1961 — June 10, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of our beloved John Sanchez, who peacefully departed this world on June 10, 2026, at the age of 64, surrounded by his cherished family. Born on November 12, 1961, in the vibrant city of Chicago, Illinois, John was the cherished son of Francisco and Catalina Sanchez, who preceded him in death. John was a devoted husband to Susana Garza, his loving partner and confidante for over three decades. They were united in marriage on September 14, 1994, in their hometown of Chicago, and together they forged a path of unwavering love and support. Their union was blessed with three wonderful children—Nicholas, Elizabeth, and Gabriel—who were the pride and joy of John’s life. A proud alumnus of St. Joseph High School, class of 1979, John pursued his passion for helping others by founding Midway Insurance Center in 2003. He operated his business with integrity and dedication until the day of his passing, leaving behind a legacy of trust and exceptional service. John was a man of profound faith, a devout member of the Our Lady of Snows Catholic Church community. His spirituality was the cornerstone of his life, guiding him with kindness, patience, and a positive outlook that he shared with everyone he encountered. As an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous, he provided support and encouragement to those seeking solace and recovery. An ardent sports enthusiast, John’s heart beat in sync with the triumphs and trials of his beloved Chicago teams—the White Sox, Bears, Bulls, and Blackhawks. His passion for classic rock was matched only by his love for bands like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Scorpions, whose music filled his home with joy. Above all, John’s greatest joy lay in helping others, a testament to his generous spirit and compassionate heart. John leaves behind a devoted family: his wife Susana, his children Nicholas, Elizabeth, and Gabriel, and his brothers Miguel, Jose Luis, Javier, and Jaime. Though his physical presence is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved him. A celebration of John’s life will be held on June 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Sagrada Familia Funeral Home, located at 4950 W 79th St, Burbank, IL. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a man whose life was a beacon of hope and love. In his final act of generosity, John’s legacy of giving continues through the donation of his kidneys and liver, a gift made possible with the compassionate help of the Gift of Hope Foundation of Christ Hospital, saving the lives of two individuals. The Sanchez family expresses their deepest appreciation for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. John’s life was a testament to the power of kindness and the enduring strength of family, and his memory will be cherished forever.
