It is with profound sadness and love that we announce the passing of John Robert Harrison, a devoted husband, cherished father, and adored grandfather, who peacefully departed this world on March 1, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on August 12, 1958, John was a beacon of light, whose life was a testament to faith, love, and dedication. John was the beloved husband of Jane Harrison, his high school sweetheart and partner in life's journey. Their union was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, laughter, and shared dreams. Together, they raised five children, nurturing them with a foundation of unwavering love and instilling in them the values that John held dear. A man of the earth, John found joy in working outside, tending to the land with a reverence for its beauty and a devotion to ensuring it reflected the glory of God's creation. His hands, skilled and gentle, left an indelible mark on the world around him, and his heart was forever tethered to the natural splendor he so lovingly maintained. Music was another of John's passions, and he found immense joy in playing and singing songs with his family. The Harrison home was frequently filled with melodies and harmonies, as John’s love for music resonated through the laughter and joy of those he loved most. It was through these shared moments that his family and friends came to understand the depth of his generosity and the warmth of his spirit. Above all, John's life was a testament to his unwavering faith. He was a man who found his greatest joy in worshiping the Lord, grateful for the many blessings bestowed upon him. His faith was the cornerstone of his life, guiding him through trials and triumphs, and his devotion to God inspired all who knew him. John leaves behind a legacy of love through his six grandchildren, each of whom he adored. Though he did not live to see great-grandchildren, his spirit and teachings will undoubtedly influence generations to come. Family and friends are invited to celebrate John's life and honor the indelible impact he made on so many. A service will be held on March 1, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Lloyds James Funeral Home. It will be a time to reflect on a remarkable life lived with purpose and passion, surrounded by those he held dear. As we bid farewell to a man who was truly one-of-a-kind, we find comfort in knowing that John's spirit lives on in the hearts and minds of those who were fortunate enough to know him. His life was a blessing, and he will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to your local church or a charity close to your heart, in honor of John's enduring legacy of faith and love.
