John Robert Finnell

John Robert Finnell, a beloved husband, father, son, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on August 10, 2026, with his devoted wife by his side. Born on March 23, 1974, in Marion, Ohio, John was the cherished son of Frank Finnell and the late Delores Mason. John was a man with a heart of gold, known for his intelligence, warmth, and unwavering kindness. He never met a stranger and truly enjoyed helping others whenever he could. He brought light and joy into the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him. He shared a beautiful journey with his wife, Danette Green-Finnell, whom he married on September 11, 2021. Their relationship, built on a foundation of love, laughter, and joy, spanned eight wonderful years, including six years of marriage. Together, they raised one son and crafted a life filled with happiness. John was an enthusiastic gamer, sharing his passion on platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, and Stream. However, his greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends, creating memories that will be cherished forever. He is survived by his loving wife, Danette; his children, Dakota Green, Delores Finnell, and Mickey Glover; and his siblings, Stephanie (and her husband Mario), Ray Finnell, and Nikki Finnell. John was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Delores Mason, and his son, Joseph Finnell. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice of the Valley in Glendale, Arizona, and Alary's Home Care in Scottsdale, Arizona, for the compassionate care provided to John. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John's memory to the ALS Association, National Office, in Saint Paul, Minnesota. John will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
