In Loving Memory

John P. Keyek
January 14, 1971 — May 19, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of John P. Keyek, who left this world too soon on May 19, 2026. Born on January 14, 1971, in Cherry Hill Township, NJ, John was a beacon of joy, humor, and unwavering love, deeply cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
John was the beloved son of Jack and Joan Keyek, who instilled in him the values of compassion and resilience. He carried these values throughout his life, impacting everyone he met with his kindness and generosity.
A proud veteran, John served in the Marines from 1990 to 1993, including during Operation Desert Storm. His service to his country was a source of immense pride, and he held the title of veteran with honor. Even while overseas, he remained a devoted husband and father, eagerly awaiting news of his first two children's births.
John's life was defined by his love for his family, starting with his middle school sweetheart and wife of 36 years, Beverly Keyek. Married on June 9, 1990, their love was a testament to true partnership, built on trust and shared dreams. Together, they created a home filled with laughter and warmth, evident to anyone in their presence.
As a father, John was a guiding light to his children, Chelsea, Josh, and Logan. He cherished each of them deeply and took pride in their achievements and the unique individuals they grew to be. His legacy continues through them and his nine grandchildren, who were his greatest joy. As "Grandpa," John relished every moment spent with them, sharing his love of music, humor, and life.
John was a man who saw the beauty in simplicity. He found contentment in the hum of an engine, the strum of a guitar, and the laughter of those he loved. His hands were never idle, always fixing, building, and creating—with music playing loud enough for the whole neighborhood to share in his joy. His laughter was infectious, his stories unforgettable, and his spirit indomitable.
Though John's passing leaves an irreplaceable void, his laughter, generosity, and love echo in the hearts of those he touched. His was a life well-lived, a testament to the power of kindness and joy. As we gather to celebrate his life on May 28, 2026, in a private ceremony, we hold onto the memories of a man who made the world brighter.
In our grief, we find solace in knowing that John’s legacy of love and laughter endures. His story is one of a life fully lived, leaving behind a tapestry of cherished memories and a profound impact on all who knew him.
Some people are impossible to forget. John was one of them—and he will be deeply missed, but forever remembered with love.
John is survived by his devoted wife, Beverly Keyek; his daughter, Chelsea Sample; his son, Josh Keyek and wife Kat Keyek; his youngest son, Logan Keyek; and his nine cherished grandchildren. He now joins in eternal rest with his predeceased family members, awaiting a future reunion in peace.
We love you, John. Always and forever.
