September 11, 2001 — June 22, 2026
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of John Micheal, who loved eating, on June 22, 2026. Born in Miami on September 11, 2001, John left us much too soon, at the tender age of 24, as he peacefully departed while immersed in one of his favorite pastimes, playing Grand Theft Auto.
John was a man who lived life with a zest that was as large and vibrant as his bright personality. Known for his larger-than-life presence, both physically and spiritually, John embraced the world with open arms and an open heart. His infectious laughter and joyful spirit left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered.
Educated at Mater Academy, John forged lifelong friendships that he cherished deeply. His very cool friends—Diego, Seth, Joel, and Lestat—were more like brothers, sharing in countless adventures and memories that will forever remain in their hearts.
In 2021, John found the love of his life and was happily married to Maximus Rivera. Their bond was as strong as it was beautiful, a testament to John's loving and devoted nature.
John served his country with honor in the unique and flavorful military burger division, where he brought his renowned culinary enthusiasm to the forefront. Though he was unemployed at the time of his passing, his true vocation was in bringing happiness to others through shared experiences and heartfelt connections.
Among John's many interests, playing Grand Theft Auto was one of his most cherished pastimes. It was during these moments of play that his creativity and competitive spirit truly shone. His friends and family will fondly remember the countless hours spent in virtual worlds where John's laughter was a constant companion.
A service to celebrate John's remarkable life will be held on the evening of June 22, 2026, at 8:30 PM via FaceTime. As we gather to honor his memory, we invite all those whose lives he touched to join us in remembering the joy and love he brought into our lives.
John is survived by his beloved husband, Maximus Rivera, and his cherished friends, Diego, Seth, Joel, and Lestat, who were like family to him. They, along with all who had the privilege of knowing John, will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
In the words of his family, "Forever in our buttholes," a message that captures the humor and affection that John so effortlessly exuded.
As we bid farewell to John, let us celebrate the life of a man who lived with passion and heart, who loved deeply and was deeply loved in return. May his memory be a blessing and his spirit live on in the laughter and warmth of those he leaves behind.
