It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Lee Boyers Jr., a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend. Born on November 8, 1965, in a loving household, John departed this world on June 9, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and unwavering love. John was the beloved son of Helen White and the late John Boyers Sr., who preceded him in death. His father's wisdom and mother's nurturing spirit shaped him into the compassionate and resilient man he became. John's spirit lives on through his devoted family, who will forever cherish the memories they shared. Surviving John is his dear mother, Helen, who provided endless love and support throughout his life. His siblings, Adele Clark, Brenda (and Lawrence) Anderson, Jerry (and Melissa) Boyers, Karen (and Keiser) McClain, and Evelyn (and James) Miller Graves, will forever honor the bond they shared with their beloved brother. John's presence will be deeply missed by his numerous nieces and nephews, who adored their Uncle John, as well as by countless close friends whose lives he touched with his warmth and generosity. John was a man who embraced life with a vibrant energy and a joyful spirit. He had the rare ability to light up any room with his infectious smile and hearty laughter. His kindness knew no bounds, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear to those in need. John had a passion for life that was evident in everything he did, from his love of the great outdoors to his dedication in nurturing relationships with those he held dear. A celebration of John’s life will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, at St. Vincent's, beginning at 2:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor and remember the remarkable life of John Lee Boyers Jr. Following the service, cremation services will take place in his hometown of Morgantown, WV, where his ashes will be spread. A special celebration of life is planned for Friday, June 19, 2026, where we will gather to reminisce and celebrate the joy and love John brought into our lives. John's departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you honor John’s memory by performing an act of kindness or donating to a charity close to your heart, as John would have wished. John Lee Boyers Jr. may no longer walk among us, but his legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will endure for generations to come. He will be forever missed and forever cherished.
