John L (Rusty) Aleshire
December 6, 1954 — June 12, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and fond remembrance that we announce the passing of John L. "Rusty" Aleshire, who left us peacefully at his home on June 12, 2026. Born on December 6, 1954, in the quaint town of Stott City, Missouri, Rusty's life was a vibrant tapestry woven with love, laughter, and an unyielding zest for life.
Rusty was the son of John and Dorothy Aleshire, who preceded him in passing, as did his beloved brother, Gary Wayne Aleshire. The values instilled in him by his parents and the bond shared with his brother shaped him into the remarkable man he was, one who touched the lives of many with his warmth and kindness.
A proud graduate of William Chrisman High School, Class of 1973, Rusty embarked on a fulfilling career with Lipton Tea in Independence, Missouri. His dedication and hard work earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike, and after 25 successful years, he retired, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism and camaraderie.
Rusty's passion for sports was a cornerstone of his life. From playing baseball with the spirited PIKERS team to shooting hoops, tossing footballs, and enjoying rounds of pickleball and pool, Rusty's athleticism and love for the game were unparalleled. Perhaps most cherished were the rounds of golf he shared with his brother, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
Though his physical presence is no longer with us, Rusty's spirit lives on through his surviving family members: his devoted sister, Marilyn, who held a special place in his heart; and his loving sister Cynthia Michelle Holman. Their shared stories, laughter, and love will forever keep Rusty's memory alive.
Rusty will be remembered not only for his love of sports and dedication to his work but for his unwavering kindness and the joy he brought to those around him. As we celebrate his life, we hold dear the moments shared, the lessons learned, and the love that will remain in our hearts forever.
