With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of John K. Walsh, a cherished brother, uncle, partner, and friend. Born on March 27, 1963, in Haverhill, Massachusetts, John departed this world on February 11, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter.
John was the beloved son of the late Joseph P. and Homerine G. Walsh, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms in the afterlife. He is survived by his devoted sister, Michelle M. Walsh, who shared countless memories with him throughout the years. His legacy continues through his niece Marisa R. Seypura and nephew Matthew J. Nogas, who remember him as a guiding light in their lives.
In his personal life, John shared a profound and loving partnership with Erin Thompson, who stood by his side through life's many adventures. John was embraced by Erin's family, and he took great joy in the lives of Jessica and George Someson along with their three children, Emma, Matt, and Abigail. He also cherished Krystal and Tim Thacker and their two daughters, Mia and Harper, all of whom he considered his own family.
John dedicated many years of his life to his career at Sysco Foods, where he was respected for his unwavering work ethic and dedication. His time as a long-standing member of the New England Teamsters further exemplified his commitment and camaraderie with his colleagues.
Outside of work, John was a passionate fisherman, finding peace and purpose on the water, and was renowned for his encyclopedic knowledge of baseball and football player statistics. His enthusiasm for sports was infectious, and he often shared this love with those around him.
John was a man who cherished family above all else; his recent reconnection with cousins he hadn't seen in 35 years was a testament to the value he placed on familial bonds. His warmth and generosity of spirit left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on April 18, 2026, at 1:00 PM, at the Loyal Order of Moose, located at 124 South Rd, Enfield, CT 06082. All are welcome to gather and honor John's life, sharing stories and memories that capture his essence and the joy he brought into our lives.
