John Jeremiah McCracken III, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, at Geisinger Danville, leaving behind a n abundanceof joyful memories. Born on November 30, 1973, in Shamokin, PA, John lived a life full of laughter, music, and warmth. John was the cherished son of the late John McCracken and Pat (Lenig) McCracken, who instilled in him the values of kindness, humor, and perseverance. He graduated from Shamokin Area School and continued his education at Lebanon Valley College, laying the foundation for a life enriched with learning and curiosity. John served as a dedicated forklift driver for FedEx Freight. Throughout his career, he was known not only for his strong work ethic but also for his infectious humor and quick wit, bringing smiles to the faces of those who worked alongside him. On July 23, 2004, John married the love of his life, Karen (Soubik) McCracken, at St. Patrick's Church in Trevorton, PA. Together, they built a life full of love and companionship over 21 beautiful years. As a proud father to his son, Landen, John took immense joy in every moment shared, be it attending concerts together or going to guitar stores. He also loved cheering on his favorite team, the Michigan Wolverines and his high school team, Shamokin Indians. John was a true music lover, often found at concerts, intrigues by the talent of excellent musicians. His fun-loving nature led to countless friends and family, who cherished his ability to lighten any room with his jokes and laughter. He is survived by his wife, Karen, his beloved son, Landen, and his caring sister, Jeanie Sanzotto. , His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. In honoring John's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, continuing John's spirit of generosity and compassion. John Jeremiah McCracken III will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to have known his gentle spirit and infectious smile.
