John was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Harriett, with whom he shared 50 cherished years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. He was also predeceased by nine of his siblings, leaving behind a legacy of resilience and strength.
John's legacy continues through his devoted daughters, Lancy (Bruce) and Bonnie, who were constant sources of joy and pride in his life. He was a loving grandfather to six grandchildren: Eden, Jordan (Kendra), Danica, Connor (Karly), Zachary (Lauren), and Brennan (Jenny), each of whom he adored deeply. John also had the privilege of welcoming three great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Bo, and Charlie, into his heart, who brought a renewed light to his days.
Throughout his life, John was known for his unwavering commitment to his family and community. His gentle spirit and wise counsel were a guiding light to all who knew him. He possessed a rare ability to make everyone feel valued and heard, a testament to his compassionate nature.
A gathering to honor and celebrate John's life will take place on April 24, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Evergreen Funeral Home, located at 152 Fort Road NE. Family and friends are invited to join in remembering a man whose life was a testament to kindness and love.
