John H. Meister, a cherished husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 27, 2026, at the age of 53. Born on February 21, 1973, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, John was the beloved son of Betty and Marvin Meister, who have predeceased him. His life was a testament to love, courage, and dedication. John proudly served his country as an Army veteran during Desert Storm. His valor and commitment to his fellow soldiers were a hallmark of his character, and he carried the values of duty and honor throughout his life. Returning home, he dedicated himself to his family and community, embodying the spirit of service and compassion in all he did. For 35 beautiful years, John shared his life with his devoted wife, Tina Meister. Together, they built a loving family, nurturing their four children: Anthony (Jessica) Meister, Amanda (Jose) Torres, Nicole (Kyle) Warner, and Gabrielle (Chris) Diaz. John's legacy continues through his 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, each of whom carries a piece of his heart and his wisdom. John's family remembers him as a gentle soul with an infectious laugh and a generous heart. He had a passion for storytelling, often regaling his loved ones with tales of his adventures and the lessons he learned along the way. Whether gathered around a campfire or seated at the family dinner table, John's presence brought joy and warmth to all who knew him. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor John's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in John's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization that held a special place in his heart. The project is dedicated to supporting injured veterans, a cause John was deeply passionate about. John H. Meister will be dearly missed, yet his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
