John H. Diddle, a cherished member of the East Liverpool community, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on January 9, 1937, in East Liverpool, Ohio, John lived a life defined by service, love, and dedication to both his family and his community. John was the beloved son of Howard and Rose Diddle, who instilled in him the values of hard work and compassion. He graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1956, a milestone that marked the beginning of a life filled with accomplishments and meaningful contributions. In September of that same year, John married the love of his life, Emma Jean Parker. Together, they built a beautiful family and shared countless adventures until her passing. A man of great entrepreneurial spirit, John owned and operated Tri-County Ambulance Service and Handy Sales and Service, where he made a lasting impact through his commitment to providing vital services to the community. His dedication to helping those in need was unwavering, and he was a respected member of the American Ambulance Association. John's influence extended beyond his professional life, as he was an active member of the First Free Methodist Church and the East Liverpool Alumni Association, where he formed lifelong friendships and participated in numerous community initiatives. John's hobbies and interests reflected his love of life and the world around him. He had a passion for building puzzles, a pastime that showcased his patience and attention to detail. He also enjoyed farming, a pursuit that connected him to his roots and brought him immense joy. His love for travel took him to various places, enriching his life with unforgettable experiences and stories. Above all, John's greatest pride and joy were his family. He is survived by his children, Dan & Susan Conley, Keith & Helen Conley, Stan & Nancy Conley, Craig & Barb Conley, John R. Sr & Annette Diddle, Mary Jane Diddle, William & Tammy Diddle, and Timothy & Kimberly Diddle. He leaves behind a legacy of love in the hearts of his 22 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren, each of whom he cherished dearly. Predeceased by his parents, Howard and Rose Diddle, and his beloved wife Emma, John now joins them in eternal peace. His warm spirit, generous heart, and unwavering dedication to his family and community will be deeply missed by all who knew him. John H. Diddle's life was a testament to the power of kindness and community service. As we remember him, let us honor his legacy by carrying forward his commitment to helping others and spreading love and compassion in our own lives. The family will hold a celebration of John's life at the First Free Methodist Church in East Liverpool, where friends and loved ones are invited to gather and share memories of a wonderful man who touched so many lives. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the East Liverpool Alumni Association or the American Ambulance Association in John's memory.
