He was a man of unwavering strength and gentle humility, a combination that drew people to him and left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to cross his path. John was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Jimme D Gunter, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and unwavering support. Together, they built a life filled with joy and warmth, nurturing a family that reflects the deep values and compassion they both cherished. He was a loving father to his daughter, Teala Gunter, who was his pride and joy. John’s guidance and wisdom were pillars upon which Teala built her own life, instilling in her the same kindness and resilience that he exemplified each day. John’s heart was full with the blessing of three grandchildren: Te’Asia Gunter, Augustine Gunter, and Octavia Cummings. His eyes would light up with pride and joy whenever he spoke of them.
