John Ficca

John Ficca, born on June 20, 1942, in Spokane, Washington, passed away peacefully at home on August 22, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. John was the cherished son of the late Ralph and Ann Ficca, and the beloved brother of Joe and Jim Ficca. He is predeceased by his first wife, Cheryl Boyd Ficca, his daughter Jodie Ficca, his adopted daughter Stephanie Ficca, and his brother Jerry Ficca. A graduate of Pullman High School in 1960, John pursued a career that showcased his dedication and skill. He earned his contractor and journeyman electrician licenses, initially working with Dillon Electric before embarking on his entrepreneurial journey. John acquired Art’s Electric, transforming it into Palouse Country Electric, and later expanded his expertise into general contracting with Palouse Rentals and Construction. After a long and fulfilling career, he retired in 2022. John's life was enriched by the love and companionship of his family. He was a devoted father to Aaron Michael Ficca, Leigh Anthony Ficca, and Jason Ficca, and a proud grandfather to Johnny Ficca (Tanasha), Gracie Ficca, Honorine Knott, Dillon Knott, and Isabella Ficca. John also leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Zola and Mila Ficca, who brought immense joy to his later years. In addition to his professional accomplishments, John was a man of varied interests. He found joy and fulfillment in running, skiing, and playing golf. His passion for construction was not only his career but also a beloved hobby, reflecting his lifelong love for building and creating. John's journey through life was marked by love, resilience, and a commitment to those he held dear. He shared his life with three remarkable women, first marrying Cheryl Boyd Ficca in Pullman, WA, later finding love again with Janice Knott Ficca, and finally, with Linda Marlow Ficca in McCall, Idaho, who survives him. John's family requests that anyone wishing to honor his memory consider contributions to a charity of their choice. John’s legacy of love, laughter, and hard work will be cherished by all who knew him, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
