February 5, 1958 — November 6, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John Emery Dominowski, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, who departed from this world on November 6, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on February 5, 1958, in Appleton, Wisconsin, John lived a life filled with love, laughter, and remarkable achievements. He passed away peacefully at the hospital after a courageous battle with illness, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him.
John was the cherished son of Ira and Dolores Dominowski. He grew up in a lively household alongside his siblings, where family bonds were deeply treasured. John is predeceased by his sister Aimee and brother Ike, and following his passing, his dear brother Mike. He is survived by his loving wife Deb, who stood by his side through all of life's ups and downs, and his children, Daniel and Shannon, who inherited his warmth and humor. His two grandchildren brought immense joy to his life, and he delighted in every moment spent with them.
A proud graduate of a technical institution in Appleton, John specialized in computer science, a field that captured his boundless curiosity and intellect. His career was marked by innovation and dedication, but it was his service in the United States Air Force that filled him with immense pride. He served his country with honor and integrity, embodying the values that he held dear throughout his life.
John's talents extended far beyond his professional achievements. An avid woodworker, he had a remarkable ability to transform raw materials into beautiful creations, each piece reflecting his meticulous craftsmanship and love for the art. His intelligence and quick wit were matched only by his culinary skills—John was renowned for his spectacular pie-making abilities, a delicious testament to his creativity and joy in bringing people together.
He leaves behind a family who adored him, including his sisters Kate (Chuck), Ann, and Libby (Robert), and brothers Paul (Sintayeu), Dominic (Susie), and Ted (Cathy). John's family was his world, and he cherished every gathering, every shared story, and every opportunity to express his love for them.
John will be remembered not only for his remarkable abilities but also for his kindness, generosity, and the genuine connections he forged with everyone he met. His laughter was infectious, his wisdom profound, and his spirit unyielding. As we grieve his loss, we also celebrate the extraordinary life he led and the indelible mark he left on the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
A service to honor and celebrate John's life will be held on July 18, 2026. Family, friends, and all whose lives he touched are invited to come together in remembrance of a man whose life was a testament to love, courage, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear. John's memory will forever remain a source of inspiration and comfort to those who loved him.
