April 26, 1976 — April 17, 2026

It is with deep sorrow and profound respect that we announce the passing of John Edward Hysock, a father, brother, uncle, and friend, who left this world on April 17, 2026, just shy of his 50th birthday. Born on April 26, 1976, John was the cherished son of the late John Andrew Hysock and Rosemary Catherine Jefferson. John's early years were spent in the community of Shenandoah, where he graduated from Shenandoah Valley Jr./Sr. High School. Following his education, John answered the call of duty and served honorably in the U.S. Army, embodying the virtues of courage and dedication to his country. His service was a source of immense pride to both him and his family. John's legacy lives on in his children, Noah and Nyah Hysock. He is survived by his brothers, Jason Hysock, married to Joelle, and Timothy Hysock, married to Nicole. John was the uncle to 3 nieces and 1 nephew: Jocelyn, Kaylee, Alaina, and Rowan. John is also survived by his extended family, including Uncle Edward Ulceski married to Elaine, Aunt Kathy Ulceski, Aunt Cindy Kluchinsky, Aunt Patricia Alshefski, and Aunt Cheryl Hysock. He shared a special bond with each of them and held connections with numerous cousins. John was predeceased by his beloved grandparents Nana and Poppop Hysock, as well as Edward (Pooch) Ulceski and Rosie (Grady) Ulceski who welcomed him into eternity with open arms. The loss of his parents, John A. Hysock and Rosemary C. Jefferson, deeply impacted him, yet he carried their legacy forward until death. As we mourn the loss of John, we also celebrate the life he lived. His journey was marked by love, service, and a deep commitment to those he held dear. While he may no longer walk beside us, his spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
