It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the peaceful passing of John Charles Jackson, Jr, who left this world on July 4, 2026, surrounded by family and friends. Born on July 9, 1961, in Dickinson, Texas, John was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He was the cherished son of the late John Charles Jackson, Sr, and Gloria Roundtree Jackson, and is now reunited with them, as well as with his dear brothers, Milton E. Roundtree, Sr, and Bobby G. Muller, Sr. John leaves behind a devoted family who will continue to celebrate his life and carry forward his legacy of love and laughter. He is survived by his siblings, Kevin L. Roundtree and his wife Cherry, Lee Andre Jackson, and sisters Tonya Rollins and Cynthia Jackson. John's memory will also be lovingly cherished by a host of nieces, nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart. Known for his warm heart and boundless generosity, John was a favorite uncle among his great-nieces and great-nephews. His home was a sanctuary of sweets and snacks, always awaiting their visits with joy and anticipation. John had a rare gift for making every encounter feel like a special occasion, and his infectious laughter and gentle spirit were a balm to all who knew him. A passionate collector, John found beauty in the small things, believing that each knickknack had a story to tell. His home was a testament to his impeccable taste and creativity, as he artfully arranged his treasures with a flair that was uniquely his own. His knack for decorating was matched only by his enthusiasm for his favorite basketball team, the Orlando Magic. Ever the optimist, John cheered them on through every season, his hope unwavering that their time in the spotlight would come. John's departure leaves a void that will be felt deeply by all who knew him, but his spirit and the lessons he imparted will continue to inspire.
