It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of John Charles Jackson, Jr., who gently departed this world on July 4, 2026, at the age of 64. Born on July 9, 1961, in Orlando, Florida, John left us just days shy of his 65th birthday, surrounded by the warmth and love of family and friends. John was the cherished son of the late John Charles Jackson, Sr., and Gloria Roundtree Jackson, who instilled in him the values of kindness, family, and unwavering loyalty. He is predeceased by his beloved parents and brothers, Milton Roundtree, Sr., and Bobby Jackson. John is survived by his devoted siblings: Kevin Roundtree and wife Cherry, Lee Andre Jackson, and his sisters, Tonya Rollins and Cynthia Jackson. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews who brought immense joy to his life. Known affectionately as the "favorite uncle," John's home was always a haven of laughter and delight, filled with sweets and snacks that seemed never-ending. His great-nieces and great-nephews were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. John possessed a unique flair for collecting knickknacks, each item holding a special place in his heart and home. His eye for decorating was unmatched, always finding room for "just one more" treasured item that added character and warmth to his surroundings. A die-hard Orlando Magic fan, John could often be found cheering for his team with unyielding enthusiasm, holding out hope for a victorious season. His passion for basketball and his home team was as steadfast as his love for his family and friends. John’s presence was a testament to kindness and generosity, qualities that endeared him to all who were blessed to know him. His infectious smile and gentle spirit will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts. A memorial service to honor John's remarkable life will be held on July 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel, located at 501 Farvilla Road, Orlando, Florida. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Mitchell’s Funeral Home for their kindness and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in John’s memory to a charity of your choice that embodies the spirit of kindness and community that John so passionately upheld. As we gather to celebrate the life of John Charles Jackson, Jr., let us remember his legacy of love, laughter, and the joy he brought into our lives. He will be forever missed, but his spirit will remain with us always.
