John “bugsy “ Bartenope

John “ BUGSY " Bartenope, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, left this world unexpectedly on September 23, 2026, at the age of 49. Born on April 6, 1977, in Coaldale, John was the beloved son of Ruth Sawyer and the late John Bartenope. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Lucy and John Bartenope and Butcher and Emily Mace, his father, John Bartenope, and his sister, Kelly Eckhart John is survived by his devoted wife, Amanda Bartenope, and their children, Kayla Crostley, Kendra Crostley, and Zoey Bartenope Zack barternope who were the pride and joy of his life. He was a doting grandfather to Treyson Crostley, Aubriella Crostley, and Cater Smith. John will be deeply missed by his siblings: Shiela and her husband Mike Kuzo, Josette and her husband Jim Snyder, Chad Warman, Tina Warman, Renee Bartenope, and Shane Bartenope. A graduate of Carbon County Vo-Tech, John pursued a career that fulfilled his love for travel and adventure; he was a commercial driver and mover for Mayflower. He enjoyed the open road and the opportunity to explore new places, a passion that reflected his adventurous spirit. John was an avid fisherman who found peace in the gentle flow of creek waters. He relished the thrill of riding dirt bikes and motorcycles, sharing these joys with his children. Known for his generous heart, John was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need, embodying the spirit of kindness and community. In honor of John's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held. Those who wish to honor John's memory may make donations to a charity of their choice, celebrating his life of giving and compassion. John's sudden departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His warmth, humor, and generosity will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who were fortunate to be part of his journey. May his soul rest in peace, and may his legacy of love and kindness continue to inspire.
