John Austin Stephenson, 74, of Loganville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2026.
Born on March 13, 1952, in Brooklyn, New York, John grew up with a strong sense of family and responsibility—qualities he carried throughout his life. The son of Kenrick and Ivy Stephenson, he learned early the value of hard work, compassion, and integrity.
John was a proud graduate of [XXXX High School, Class of XXXX]. After high school, he moved to Florida, where he graduated from [XXXX College]. It was there that he met the love of his life, Sylvia Stephenson, whom he married on March 31, 1974. Their marriage of more than five decades was marked by devotion, partnership, and deep affection.
John spent [number] years as a technician with AT&T, where he became known not only for his skill, but for his patience, [XXXXXX], and his ability to [XXXXXX]. He was the kind of man who could fix almost anything and was always willing to teach others how to do the same.
John made his public dedication to his heavenly Father, Jehovah God, as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on [XXXXXXX]. John is survived by his wife, Sylvia Stephenson; his daughter, Felicia Stephenson; his son, Michael Stephenson (wife DeAnna Stephenson); his son, Zachary Stephenson; his daughter, April Stephenson; and his son, Timothy Stephenson (wife Selena Stephenson). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 6 great‑grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenrick and Ivy Stephenson, his brother Keeny Stephenson, and his sister Ivy Stephenson.
John’s presence enriched the lives of everyone who knew him, and his memory will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
