John Anthony Valenti

John Anthony Valenti, a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2026, at the age of 55, after a fierce and courageous battle with his health. Born on September 14, 1970, in Greenwich, Connecticut, John was a beacon of strength and kindness to all who knew him. The beloved son of Anthony Valenti and Nancy Mostowy, both of whom predeceased him, John was also preceded in death by his cherished godfather, Tony Festa. He is survived by his devoted wife of 25 years, Janine Alascia Valenti, and their son, Frank John, who together were the center of his world. John also leaves behind his loving sisters, Cheryl Mostowy and Kristen Mostowy, and his brothers, Anthony Valenti and Michael Valenti, who all remember him with fondness and admiration. His godmother, Jean Franco, along with his caring in-laws, nieces, nephews, and a host of wonderful friends, also mourn his passing. John dedicated his life to his family and his work. He began his career as a skilled mechanic and tow truck driver, where he found great satisfaction in vehicle recovery work. Later, he became a school bus driver for Lake Forest, where he formed meaningful connections with the students he transported. John was known for his willingness to assist others, always ready to lend a helping hand when needed. His genuine love for towing and recovery work was matched only by the joy he found in his interactions with the students on his bus routes. Outside of work, John was passionate about NASCAR and WWE, often finding solace and excitement in the thrill of the races and matches. He also enjoyed peaceful moments spent fishing, an activity that allowed him to connect with nature and reflect on life's beauty. John’s warmth, generosity, and unwavering spirit touched the lives of many. He will be remembered for his selflessness, his love of family, and his enduring strength in the face of adversity. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his loved ones and all who had the privilege of knowing him. In lieu of flowers donations to his family would be greatly appreciated.
