John Adam Carroll

John Adam Carroll, born on August 10, 1977, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, passed away on August 29, 2026. He was the beloved son of Johnny Ray Carroll and the late Brenda Leigh Dowden. John is preceded in death by his son Triston O’Banion, his mother Brenda Leigh Dowden, and Rayna O’Banion, mother of his children. He is survived by his loving companion of ten years, Sara Martin of Pitkin, Louisiana; his daughter Zoe O’Banion of Pitkin, Louisiana; sons Sean O’Banion of Florida, Seth O’Banion of Buna, Texas, and Gabriel O’Banion of Pitkin; step-daughter Abigail Dowden and husband Clayton of Leesville, Louisiana; and stepson Caleb Ingalls of Missouri. John also leaves behind his father, Johnny Carroll and bonus mom Alice, of Pitkin, Louisiana; sister, Naomi Burgess and husband Russell, of Longville, Louisiana; brother, David Carroll and wife Becky, of Pitkin, Louisiana; six granddaughters, one grandson, and many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. John spent much of his life working at his Uncle Brian’s sawmills. He enjoyed golfing, BBQing, music, and time spent with loved ones, especially after a hard day’s work and on weekends. Visitation will be held on September 1, 2026, at Simmons Mill UPC from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 2:00 PM. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, officiated by Rev. J.R. Dowden and Rev. Randall Martin, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home.
